The iPod earphones are one of the most recognizable gadgets of today’s world and everyone wearing them is treated with respect.Unfortunately, your pretty white earbuds can get rather dirty over time, especially because of their color. The wire turns gray, dirt gets stuck in the fine wire mesh of the earphones and they lose their beauty. To avoid this, you should clean them regularily, at least every few weeks. Here’s how to clean your iPod earphones:

First make sure your earphones are unplugged and move your iPod out of harm’s way.
Before trying anything else, wipe your earbuds gently with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure you don’t get any water into your earbuds!
After having removed larger stains from the earbuds, take a fine toothbrush, make sure its clean and dry and gently brush the wire mesh of the earbuds, removing any dirt stuck in them.

The white wire of the iPod earphones can very easily get dirty and become grey. To clean it and get it white again, take a smooth  cloth (preferably cotton) or a tissue paper and spray it with some window cleaning liquid (like Windex).  Fold the cloth around the wire and gently pull it up and down the wire. Do this
until it’s clean.
